PiMS Workspace Supports Amy’s Appeal
Local Company Urges Businesses to Support the Community
Following their recent move to Fareham, PiMS Workspace, an award winning Space and Accommodation Management Services Provider, has recently made a donation to a local family whose daughter suffers from Cerebral Palsy. The donation was made to Amy’s Appeal, which will enable Amy to receive vital stem cell treatment to improve her quality of life. PiMS Workspace is calling for other Hampshire businesses to come together and support Amy’s Appeal.
Four-year-old Amy was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when she was only seven months old. Whilst there is no cure for the illness, recent treatments have been proven to improve symptoms and enable those affected to benefit from a better quality of life.
Since launching Amy’s Appeal, Amy’s parents have raised enough money to ensure their daughter can travel to Germany in January 2010 to receive her initial treatment, at the cost of £10,000. The money donated by PiMS Workspace makes it possible for Amy to commence the 2nd phase of treatment to improve her development further.
Phil Sheath, Amy’s father comments, “We are delighted with the support PiMS Workspace has offered us. It is incredibly important and we are very grateful for the help they have given us. The money will kick-start the second treatment fund which will have a major impact on Amy’s ability to live independently and develop crucial skills.”
Martin Atkinson, Director of PiMS Workspace adds, ”During this difficult economic time, everyone is suffering with their own financial concerns but taking the time to support such admirable and deserved local causes as Amy’s Appeal should still come into account. At PiMS Workspace we feel fortunate to be able to give something back to the local community and we encourage local businesses to follow suit to do all they can.”
