PiMS Workspace Joins Line-up For The Association Of Interior Specialists’ National Members Meeting
PiMS Workspace, a leading UK provider of tailored accommodation solutions, announced today that Managing Director, Martin Atkinson, will be addressing the issues surrounding the working environment at the next Association of Interior Specialists’ (AIS) National Members Meeting. Attendees to the event will learn how Atkinson’s fundamental tips for managing the office design, use of space and occupancy rates can positively affect their business.
At the event, which takes place on 18th June, Atkinson will focus on how the layout and design of an office can have an immediate impact on all corners of the business – from the way people work to the bottom line. Whilst some of the benefits of an office space tailored to the needs of the business and the workforce are intrinsic – such as staff productivity, morale and other human resources issues – other returns on investment including extra income from subletting extra space can be crucial to many businesses.
“The best office interiors are designed after assessing the interactive needs of employees at every level, as well as analysing workflow and desk occupancy rates, to show businesses how to maximise use of work spaces and improve productivity,” comments Atkinson. “Following some fundamental rules can be a start to improving the office environment - this can be achieved through measures as straightforward as introducing some informal breakout areas to improve the flow of internal communications or increasing the amount of natural light entering the building.”
PiMS Workspace, an AIS member, has successfully planned and implemented workspace strategies for blue chip clients including Skandia UK, British Gas, Sainsbury’s, Siemens and T-Mobile. PiMS Workspace recently announced that it has increased staff capacity at financial services provider Skandia UK by an average of 20% in the first phase of a major project at its Southampton headquarters.
The AIS National Members Meeting takes place on 18th June 2008, at Headingly Cricket Ground, Leeds. Further information can be found at: www.ais-interiors.org.uk
