Borneo Bound - All-girl team from PiMS Workspace takes on Global Challenge in Malaysia
2010 presents a challenge of a lifetime for the Asset Relocation Team of Segensworth-based company PiMS Workspace.
The team of 3 have set themselves the challenging target of raising £10k to fund a trip to Malaysia. Once there, the team will be taking on the 10-day Borneo Global Challenge, an amazing adventure that will take them trekking, rafting and cycling through rainforests, tropical jungles and to mountain summits to raise money for local charity Naomi House and The Alzheimer’s Society. The three team members have already been making giant strides towards reaching their target to fund the trip; in December they hosted a community Christmas party for 50 children in Elson and last week team member, Kelly, braved the chilly Solent waters to complete the New Year’s Day swim at Alverstoke Bay!
Kelly said: “The new years day swim was just a bit of a ‘warm up’ for some of the more challenging conditions we will face in Borneo, not to mention our fundraising swim to the Isle of Wight planned for later this year! It’s all for a great cause and we are very lucky for all the support and encouragement PiMs Workspace and all our other sponsors have given us to take on the Challenge.”
